About Addict Outreach

Making addiction resources easier to find and understand

Addict Outreach exists to make addiction resources easier to find and understand. We recognize that searching for help can be overwhelming, especially when cost, insurance, transportation, housing, or uncertainty create additional barriers. Our goal is to connect individuals with credible information and resources so they can make informed decisions about their next steps.

Mission and vision

Why this site exists

To connect individuals struggling with addiction to reliable information, treatment resources, recovery support, and practical assistance that helps them take the next step toward recovery.

A future in which anyone struggling with addiction can easily find the information, resources, and support they need to pursue recovery, regardless of their financial circumstances or geographic location.

What we hold to

Our values, in practice

  • Compassion without judgment.

No one is asked to earn information by proving they are ready or deserving.

  • Recovery is possible.

Stated plainly, without promising a particular outcome.

  • Access should not depend on income.

Everything we publish is free to read and free of charge.

  • Every individual deserves dignity and respect.

Including the language we use to describe them.

  • Practical resources matter.

A phone number someone can actually use beats an eloquent paragraph.

  • Harm reduction and personal safety matter.

Reducing risk is worthwhile even before someone stops using.

  • Recovery is not always linear.

Relapse is covered here as information, not as failure.

  • Seeking help is a sign of strength.

    So is asking twice.

  • People deserve choices.

We describe options rather than promoting one model.

  • Reliable information should be easy to understand.

Plain language, short sentences, no jargon.

What Addict Outreach does

  • Publish plain-language education about treatment, withdrawal, medication, recovery, and harm reduction.
  • List verified national services and federal resources, with the date we last confirmed each one.
  • Point to official locators when a search needs local, real-time information we do not hold.
  • Correct or remove a listing when we cannot confirm it.

What Addict Outreach is not

  • Provide treatment, medical advice, or crisis intervention.
  • Employ or represent ourselves as clinicians.
  • Sell or share information about who visits this site or what they read about.
  • Promise that any specific program, medication, or outcome will work for you.
  • Claim nonprofit status, government affiliation, or partnerships we do not have.

How we work

Verifying resources and correcting mistakes

A listing only appears here after we confirm the organization exists, what it does, and where it says it operates. Each listing shows the date of that check.

  • We confirm, then publish

Organizations we cannot verify are not listed as established resources.

  • We link to the specific page

Where possible we link to the relevant service page, not a homepage.

  • We date every check

Verified dates are shown on each listing so you know how current it is.

  • We correct quickly

If a number, cost, or service has changed, tell us and we will re-verify it.

How the site is funded and disclosed

Addict Outreach does not currently sell listings, sponsored placements, or referrals, and no organization pays to appear in the directory or to be described favorably.

If that ever changes, sponsorships, advertising, and referral relationships will be disclosed clearly on this page and next to the listings they affect, along with how they might influence what appears on the site. A paid listing will never be presented as automatically the most appropriate option for you.

We do not sell or share information about what you search for or read on this site, and we do not transmit information about your suspected substance use or treatment interests to advertising platforms.

People who ask us for help arranging treatment are directed to Find Your Recovery, a free national treatment matching service, which is our primary treatment resource. We state that here so the referral is never mistaken for a neutral editorial ranking, and the official public locators remain listed throughout the site regardless.

Something here wrong or out of date? Tell us and we will re-verify it.

You deserve support, whatever stage you are at

Reading is a legitimate first step. When you are ready for more, call, ask us to call you back, or search treatment programs yourself.

Calls are answered by Find Your Recovery, our free treatment matching partner. This is not a crisis line: call 911 for a medical emergency, or call or text 988 for crisis support.
