Crisis resources
Help right now, without needing the right words
You do not need insurance, an appointment, a diagnosis, or a plan to use any of these lines. You also do not have to be sure your situation counts as an emergency. If you are not okay, that is reason enough to call.
About an overdose
If you suspect an opioid overdose, call 911 immediately, give naloxone if it is available, and stay with the person until help arrives. Naloxone buys time and does not replace emergency medical care. See our harm reduction and overdose prevention page.
Medical emergency or immediate danger
911
Call 911 if someone is unresponsive, not breathing, turning blue or grey, having a seizure, or if anyone is in immediate danger. Say the word “overdose” and describe what you can see. You are protected by Good Samaritan laws in many states when you call for help during an overdose.

Not an emergency?
