Educational information only
The content on Addict Outreach is provided for general educational purposes. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for individualized professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Reading about a condition, a medication, or a treatment setting does not create a clinical relationship, and it cannot account for your health history, your medications, your pregnancy status, or any other factor that a qualified professional would consider.
No guarantees about outcomes
We do not promise that any treatment, medication, program, or level of care will work for you. Addiction is a chronic condition and treatment responses vary between individuals. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim about the results you can expect.
Withdrawal and safety
Withdrawal from alcohol and benzodiazepines can be life-threatening, and withdrawal from other substances can carry serious medical risks depending on your health and circumstances. This site does not provide detox protocols, medication dosing, or instructions for unsupervised withdrawal. Please seek a professional assessment before making abrupt changes.
In a medical emergency, call 911. For crisis support, call or text 988. See our crisis resources for other lines.
Third-party organizations control their own services
Addict Outreach links to organizations and government services that we do not operate, license, or supervise. Those organizations control their own services, costs, eligibility requirements, hours, capacity, and availability, and those details can change at any time. A listing here is not an endorsement of a specific provider, a guarantee of admission, or a statement that a service is appropriate for you.
Every listing shows the month we last confirmed it. Even so, verify details with the organization before you rely on them.
No provider relationship
Addict Outreach is not a treatment provider, a medical practice, an emergency service, a crisis line, or a licensed health care facility. We do not provide clinical care and we do not employ clinicians to treat visitors. Our contact form is not monitored for emergencies and cannot be used to obtain immediate medical assistance.
Emergencies
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not delay emergency care because of something you read here.
